In Outstanding Recognition of the Formidable Entrepreneurial Contribution of the Former First Lady of Nigeria , Dr (Mrs) Maryam Babangida (RIP) , (to both National Empowerment and International Development) ; Eminent Black British Politician , Dr Joseph Chikelue Obi , hereby publicly calls upon the Delta State Government to strongly consider upgrading the Delta State Regional Airport (Asaba) to : Maryam Babangida International Airport.

The Strategic Commercial Position of Asaba cannot be Over-Estimated ; most especially as a Global Business Gateway to South-Eastern Nigeria.
